Teyil is Senior Programme Manager at the Sightsavers Nigeria Country Office and serves as the Trachoma Country coordinator where she manages the Accelerate programme portfolio which aims to accelerate activities for the elimination of Trachoma. On behalf of Sightsavers, she also coordinates the Safety and antimicrobial resistant of mass administration of AZT in 1-11months in Nigeria (SARMAAN) lead by the Federal Ministry of Health and Nigerian Institute of Medical Research. Teyil manages this revolutionary project for Sightsavers as the grant managers.
Prior to working with Sightsavers, Teyil worked as the NTD North-West Zonal coordinator federal ministry of health where she coordinated the NTD activities of the 7 north-western states. She obtained her medical degree from the prestigious Ahmadu bello university Zaria, a master’s degree from the university of Aberdeen, Scotland, and postgraduate certificate courses from the LSHTM.
